The second lecture in our Red River War series focuses in on one of the first battles.  The Battle of Adobe Walls took place near present day Stinett, TX.  The Comanche force of 700 warriors, led by Quanah Parker, faced off against a group of 28 buffalo hunters and was the catalyst for the Red River War. Join us as Tammy Scarbrough, lead interpreter at the Goodnight Ranch, tells us the fascinating facts of this battle that led to the ultimate demise of the Comanche way of life. Programs at 11:00 am, 1:00 and 3:00 pm followed by a short tour of the historic Goodnight home. No admission fee for this lecture.
