Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site Events
Although the holiday is named for George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, we celebrate our nation’s past presidents – especially Dwight Eisenhower! Participate in activities and make crafts. Take your picture at our Presidential Podium. A Birthplace House tour is included. For youth up to age 12. With paid admission to the site, drop in anytime between 10 AM and 2 PM.
Spring Break Week: March 12-14, 10 AM - 12 PM daily. Bring your students to the Visitors Center during Spring Break for free activities to explore the world of Dwight Eisenhower and his Birthplace. Each day features a different activity such as painting, crafting, coloring, story time, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Children must be accompanied by adults. FREE.
President Dwight Eisenhower and First Lady Mamie Eisenhower revived the Easter Egg Roll tradition at the White House in 1953. Enjoy an egg scramble, egg roll races, craft activities, and a visit by the Easter Bunny. For youth up to age 12. FREE.
