Stop by the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site on Saturday, December 8th from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. to participate in “Christmas at the Maxey House,” which focuses on the Longs’ Christmas traditions this year. 

Visitors will step into the Longs’ decorated home in the midst of celebrating Christmas with family and friends.  Artifacts once belonging to the Longs will be on display...

Join Livingston the Lion at the Maxey House for his Late Night with Livingston series!  Children and families are invited to join Livingston at the site on the second Tuesday of each month for a story and crafts based on a different theme each month.  December’s theme is CHRISTMAS.  Late Night with Livingston will take place on December 11 from 6-8 p.m., with story time starting at 7 p.m.

Come and enjoy various Easter activities at the Sam Bell Maxey House during Easter at the Maxey House on Saturday, April 20th, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.  Admission is free for all of the activities on the grounds.  The regular admission fees apply for tours of the historic house museum.
