Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site and Fort Parker State Park invite the public to join us for a National Public Lands Day celebration to help us care for our treasured public lands in Limestone County. National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands that all Americans enjoy.
Location: Limestone Bluffs Paddling Trail (Navasota River)
8 a.m. – Donuts and coffee at Confederate Reunion Grounds before launching
Ten canoes will be available for public use to launch from Confederate Reunion Grounds. Individuals with boats can gather at the Fort Parker State Park Navasota River boat ramp to launch your boat and help clean up the last half mile of the river and the shoreline of the 750-acre Fort Parker Lake.
