At Varner-Hogg Plantation, we plan on celebrating the dog days of summer with the dogs! Bring your dog and join us for fun and games with your pet.

We'll have a walking trail and a dog park for playful pups. Enter your canine in our doggie dress-up contest, or have them run our agility course for prizes.

The visitors center will showcase a special exhibit featuring plantation pets. Learn about the dogs and other pets that have called the plantation home over the years, including Buttons the dog, Napoleon the horse, and Governor Hogg’s goose Polly.

Fetch your blanket or lawn chairs, and relax on the grounds of our beautiful historic site. Water will be provided for four-legged friends. Come out and have a doggone good time!

For more information, call 979.345.4656. All dogs must come on leashes.
