Self-guided site tours of Fannin Battleground State Historic Site include memorial features such as a commemorative obelisk and the historic gin-press screw that was first placed at the site in 1894. The site's historic bandstand houses interpretive exhibits, and the pavilion is available for enjoying a picnic. Interpretive panels around the site tell the story and significance of the Battle of Coleto Creek.
Tours of the site take 30 minutes to one hour. All areas are wheelchair accessible, and visitor parking is available on site. Restroom facilities are located near the bandstand. There is no visitor center or gift shop at the site.
To help us with our preservation and conservation mission, and for the safety of our visitors, we ask that visitors respectfully refrain from climbing on the monuments and markers on site. Alcohol is not permitted on site and smoking is permitted only in the parking area. Pets are welcome on site provided they are kept on a leash. Pets are not permitted inside the buildings.
