The Great War Effort
Free event this Thursday, March 22 at 6 pm
Join us at Neill-Cochran House Museum this Thursday for an engaging conversation about the collective mobilization and sacrifices of everyday Americans during World War I. Held in conjunction with the opening of Neill-Cochran House Museum's WWI centennial exhibition, the discussion will also serve as a primer for WWI America, opening at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in 2019.
Dr. Scott Wolford, associate professor in the Department of Government at the University of Texas at Austin, will lead the conversation to combine perspectives on the trajectory of the Great War on the battlefield with day-to-day efforts at home, while putting these new exhibitions into historical and political context.
This event is free and open to the public. The Neill-Cochran House Museum is located at 2310 San Gabriel Street, Austin, Texas 78705.
