A World War One grave marker ceremony will take place in Oak Cliff, TX, on June 1, honoring Sgt. Roscoe Chittim (1889-1923), a Missouri-born Cherokee who lived in Texas. Roscoe manned a machine gun squadron in the 1918 Sedan Offensive, and was an MP afterwards in France. Family members, several local dignitaries, the media, and re-enactors will be present. The event is free and open to the public.
