Coordinator, Military Sites Program (Program Specialist III)

JOB OBJECTIVE: Serve as Military Sites Program Coordinator of the History Programs Division at the Texas Historical Commission (THC). Perform complex consultation and technical assistance work for THC staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public. Work involves planning, developing, and implementing all aspects of the agency’s Military Sites Program. Initiate and coordinate special history projects, including the commemoration of the bicentennial of the Texas independence and statehood. Coordinate all aspects of the agency’s Oral History Program. Work under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
