Parking
Visitor parking is available in our main lot located at 9th Street and Embassy Drive.
Metered parking is available along San Marcos Street.
Groups & Tours
Self-guided tours are currently provided Tuesday through Saturday and are included in your admission fee (which is free for a limited time). Tours last about 30 minutes. Tours require an advance reservation and payment by credit card over the phone. Group size is limited to about five people. For more information, call 512-417-7686 or email us.
School Groups
Stay tuned as we unveil our TEKS aligned school programming by grade level in early 2021. For more information, please contact us.
Visitor Center
Later in 2021, we will be opening the visitor center that will feature food concessions and a museum store.
Accessibility
The historic French Legation building and the visitor center is wheelchair accessible and connected via paved pathways. Accessible restrooms are located at the visitors center building. It is a short distance from the visitors center to the French Legation building.
Facilities
Food and drinks will not available for purchase on site until late spring/early summer 2021 when our visitor center opens. Visitors may bring their own food and drinks to enjoy on the grounds, but we do not allow food or drinks in the French Legation building. Water fountains and restrooms are located at the visitors center.
Personal photography is allowed, but commercial photography may be subject to permit requirements.
Smoking is not permitted on site.
