Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site
At this year's Bonham Quilt Hop, July 24th-25th, 2020, the Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site will be one of ten area locations hosting vintage quilts, sharing the history of these unique hand-stitched textiles and those who created them. Our Visitor Center will have on display a selection of quilts, quilt blocks, and quilt tops from the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site’s Eva Gantry collection. These artifacts have never been on public display before and will only be available for viewing during this year's Bonham Quilt Hop. Facilitated tours of the Rayburn family's Bonham home are hourly beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. featuring vintage quilts from our collection including nineteenth century Love Apple and Prairie Rose quilts.
