Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites

Join us for a day of exploring the past! Learn more about the work that archeologists do by exploring the history and artifacts of Kreische Brewery, a site excavated by Parks and Wildlife in the late 1970s. The day includes hands-on family-friendly activities, site tours of the house and brewery, presentations by archeologists, scientists, and community members, and more. Stop by each designated station to receive a stamp in your archeology field notebook and a junior archeologist prize at the end of your visit!
The hands-on activities and field notebook passport are designed for children aged 4-14, but guided tours of the brewery, historical presentations by experts and scientists, and more will be offered throughout the day for older audiences.
