Join our staff and volunteers as we delve intoTexas Archeology and the expansive cultural heritage of our great state in honor of Texas Archeology Month! This free event offers information booths, hands-on activities, lots of crafts, and live demonstrations including a blacksmith, rag rug weaver, historic foodways and a human sundial! We are introducing our first ever Twig Sculpture Contest, prizes will be awarded. Twigs will be provided. You will need to bring your imagination. Picnics welcome. We might have a blaknet or two you can borrow. If you do not feel like bringing a picnic, Ol Smoky BBQ and More food truck will be at the event. Representatives from Caddo Lake State Park and the Texas Master Naturalists will have booths chock full of information! Outdoor activities are free. Tours of our historic house museum are regular admission prices.
