Ayuntamiento Meeting

We are holding a recreation of an Ayuntamiento meeting on September 30.  What does that mean though?  The Ayuntamiento, formed in 1828, was the elected city council that governed the town of San Felipe de Austin and Austin’s colony as a whole.  Come learn more about how this important group functioned, and what their role in the town was by joining the meeting on the 30th.  It will be held in the courthouse from 10 am to 2 pm, so mark your calendars now!
