Community Mapping Event and Archaeology Open House

Mar 2 2019 - 2:00pm to 5:00pm

TX

Stop by the Landmark Inn on Saturday, March 2 for a community mapping event and archaeology open house!

Trish Markert, PhD candidate and archaeology student, will provide updates on her research in the Castro Colonies and recent archaeological work in Old D’Hanis.

Interested community members are also invited to come by and make their own individual or group map of Castroville, D’Hanis, or Quihi/New Fountain. The goal is to highlight the places, events, and homes that have been important to life in the towns, in the past and present. These maps will contribute to Trish’s dissertation research on the Castro Colonies. All materials will be provided and all ages are welcome!

Refreshments will be served. Please contact Trish Markert at 610-368-5020 or pmarkert@binghamton.edu with any questions.
