Denton marker dedication - Beulah A. Harriss (Undertold)

Come celebrate the dedication of a historical marker for Beulah A. Harriss. Harriss was the first recognized Girl Scout in Texas and a leader in women's sports and physical education at the University of North Texas and throughout the state. In 2014, the topic was selected as an Undertold marker to receive funding for the marker cost, a program designed to address gaps in the marker program. Opening ceremonies will be held in the Civic Center followed by unveiling of the marker in Quakertown Park. The marker will be located at the site where the Girl Scout “little house” once stood in the park.
