The Way We Wore Fashion Exhibit will be installed inside Maplecroft, the 1870s home of Frank and Clara Starr. The exhibit will contain clothing owned by the Starr family from the site's collection and items loaned from the Harrison County Historical Museum.

Other clothing from the collection of Jan Pettiet of Shreveport, Louisiana, will complete this elaborate exhibit of luxurious clothing made from cotton, silk, wool, and satin.

Some of the items on display will include Clara Starr Pope's wedding gown, as beautiful as it is delicate, a 19th century ball gown owned by Sarah Clapp, and the fireman's shirt worn by Frank Starr.

The exhibit will run Oct. 17–Nov. 14, 2015, and may be viewed during operating hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and Sunday, 12–4 p.m.

Special viewing times include: Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 and Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, 6–8 p.m.
