Come celebrate the dedication of a historical marker for Quigg-Baulard Cottage for designation to the National Register of HIstoric Places and recognition as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. This state and national recognition is an important milestone in the 150-year life of the Quigg-Baulard Cottage, and we hope you will join us in the celebration. The fully restored wood frame house at the corner of Broadway and 27th Street has housed offices for the Mary Moody Northen Endowment for the past quarter-century. Its Greek Revival styling is characteristic of many homes built in post-Civil War Galveston, and during the 1980s and 1990s the small yellow cottage served an important role as a teaching laboratory for workers restoring the grand Moody Mansion next door. The public will be invited for tours and refreshments during the event, so please feel free to bring friends and family.
