Take a eerie stroll around the Varner-Hogg Plantation grounds and listen to tales about the ghostly heritage of the area. Plenty of dangers lurked in the early Texas wilderness and many settlers didn’t live to tell their tales! Then, discover Victorian funeral and mourning practices at the main house. Admission at the gate may be paid with cash or card.

Limited street PARKING will be available in front of the Plantation gates.
Additional free parking and trolley ride will be available at First Capitol Park.
For your safety, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and consider bringing a personal flashlight.
