Sept. 23rd Homeschool Day, 10a – 4p:  

Join us for Homeschool History Day for 2021 and see how those living in Texas from 1836-1845 made a living and procured necessary materials. What skills were valued during the time period? Blacksmithing, medicine, farming, and more!

Homeschool families and groups will be able to explore the sites and demonstrations at your own pace.

The following authors will be signing books:

Cara Skinner-General Houston’s Little Spy

Tana Holmes-Alamo Tree Book and Coloring Book

Betsy Wagner-Spirit of Gonzales

Laurie Cockerall- Magnificent Sam, Spirit of Texas Curriculum

A flat fee of $20 for regular vehicles or $30 for large capacity vehicles (9+ passengers) will be charged at the entrance.

Food vendors will be on site or pack a picnic.

The Pioneer Playroom will NOT be available at the Star of the Republic Museum.
