Come out and see the 155th Anniversary of the Imprisonment of Federal Soldiers at Fort McKavett during the first winter of the Civil War (1861-’62). This event will be open to public viewing and will feature reenactors in character performing the tasks of both Federal Prisoners and their Texan captors. These volunteers will be accurately portraying the life of these historic individuals down to the punishments meted out for wrongdoing. This will be our seminal reenactment event for the year, so be sure not to miss it!
