Mission Dolores State Historic Site
This fun and educational program will discuss the life and career of James Pinckney Henderson - a lawyer, politician, soldier, and the first Governor of the State of Texas.
As part of the tricentennial celebration commemorating the establishment of Mission Dolores in San Augustine, Mission Dolores State Historic Site will hold similar lunchtime programs once a month throughout 2017, covering a variety of topics related to East Texas history. Henderson actually practiced law in San Augustine during the Texas Republic period!
Mick Haven, Site Manager for Mission Dolores State Historic Site, will present the Lunch and Learn program.
