Treat yourself to a very special Christmas night out at Starr Family Home’s Maplecroft Candlelight tours. This is your chance to step back in time and see how the holidays were celebrated in the 1880s. All rooms will be bathed in the soft glow of candlelight as you take in the holiday decorations and talk to staff and costumed interpreters about nineteenth century Christmas traditions. Feel free to share some of your own traditions with staff and other guests.
A dramatic reading of “T’was the Night before Christmas” will be presented to enhance your holiday experience. End your tour in the restored kitchen for a warm cup of cider and a craft for children of all ages.
At the end of the evening, you will understand why this will become a “must do” annual event for you and your family.
