Join us on Saturday, February 4th for a family-friendly, living history demonstration!

In 1827, Austin's militia was sent to the Nacogdoches area to quell a small rebellion against the Mexican government. At the time, most Texians still had loyalty to Mexico and the rebellion was seen as an unpopular defiance. Staff and volunteers in period clothing will perform military demonstrations and cannon firings between 9am and 4pm.
