Come celebrate the dedication of a historical marker for Marshall - The Birthplace of Boogie Woogie. A brief history of Boogie Woogie music and its relationship with Marshall and the depot will start out this event, followed by a reading of the marker's text. The Marshall Depot will open at 1:30pm for tours that day. There will also be a limited ticketed gathering with Boogie Woogie music, light refreshments and cash bar inside The Ginocchio Hotel (facility open courtesy of Alan Loudermilk). Tickets for the Ginocchio event are available through the Marshall Chamber of Commerce for $20. Ticket sale proceeds benefit the depot.
