Join the Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site for a sunset luminaria in honor of Memorial Day. The celebration of Memorial Day dates to shortly after the Civil War, when various commemorative holidays were celebrated across the country. Today it serves as a day to honor all Americans who have died in military service.
Visitors may walk or drive through the site to view the luminaria. They may also bring donation items for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Waco. Donation items accepted may include reading material, t-shirts and socks/underwear, DVDs or games, personal hygiene products, and individually packaged foodstuffs. Any questions?
