Join us and Fort Parker State Park in celebration of “National Public Lands Day” by participating in the annual “Keep Texas Waterways Clean” river cleanup event on Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will work the shoreline and waters of the five-mile stretch of the Navasota River between the Confederate Reunion Grounds and Fort Parker State Park.

Feel free to bring your own canoe and/or kayaks. The launch for canoes and kayaks will be from the banks of the Navasota River at the Confederate Reunion Grounds.  Volunteers will be able to “tailgate” on snacks and refreshments before heading down river.

The Limestone Bluffs Paddling Trail is a beautiful stretch of the Navasota River with easy paddling, good birding, and great fishing.  This is a chance to enjoy the river and help preserve its health and beauty for future years to come.
