Got a case of spring fever? Find your cure at the Maxey House’s “Spring Break Extravaganza.” Starting on March 15, through March 18, the Maxey House will have different activities and crafts each day for children and their families to participate in from 2-4 p.m.
Tuesday – Things with Strings! - Children are invited to the Maxey House to make their own kite while getting to try out yo-yos, tops, and diabolos, all toys children played with during the Victorian era.
Wednesday – Game Play Day – Head out to the Maxey House to play rousing games of checkers, dominoes, and marbles with friends and family.
Thursday – Hop, Skip, and Jump Away! - Children are invited to play hop scotch and jump rope. After all the jumping, hopping, and skipping, they can decorate their own fans to help them cool down.
Friday – Field Day –Try your hand at croquet or knock down some pins while playing lawn bowling. Afterwards, challenge a friend to a sack race. These and other games will be set up around the Maxey House grounds for everyone to play.
