New for 2021! On Youth Volunteer Days from 10 a.m. to Noon, young people ages 12-18 can help Varner-Hogg Plantation look and be its best while earning service hours for their schools and organizations! Every second Saturday of the month, we’ll gather and randomly assign volunteers to one of three teams: Grounds, Exhibits or Office. Volunteers should be willing to work indoors or outdoors, and occasionally, get their hands dirty! To make sure we’re working safely, space is limited to 9 volunteers each Volunteer Day. All COVID-19 precautions and guidelines must be followed, including wearing a mask inside all buildings and when working closely with others outside. Youth 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult while on the site.

Advanced registration is required by contacting Mark Osborne at mark.osborne@thc.texas.gov or 979-345-4656 ext. 22. Please note: We cannot accommodate volunteers on Youth Volunteer Day without prior registration. Thanks for your cooperation.
