Vices & Viceroys: How Spanish Officials Sold Gambling as a Moral Good
Pack your lunch & join us at Mission Dolores to learn about the history of legalized gambling in New Spain! In the late 18th-century, Spanish officials created The Royal Lottery. This legalized, state-sponsored gambling program was designed to combat illegal gambling. At the end of the program, all attendees will have the opportunity to play Lotería, a game similar to Bingo, for a chance to win a prize!
