On October 2, 2015, Villa Finale museum and gardens will celebrate its 5th anniversary of opening as an historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation (the first and only one in Texas)! In honor of this milestone, the organization is hosting an event entitled, “That Was The Year That Was: 1967,” in recognition of Walter Mathis’ acquisition of the property at 401 King William Street. This purchase became the catalyst behind the restoration and preservation of the King William Historic District in San Antonio. Visit with Texas Historical Commission staff at this event!
