Racial and cultural equity are increasingly a focus of arts and cultural organizations' work. But not everyone agrees on what cultural equity looks like in practice. Competing definitions and goals can be a source of confusion, especially when they are not brought out into the open.
After a morning full of learning and discussion, the afternoon session will be devoted to considering the question "What are the cultural equity outcomes that are both desirable and realistic for my organization to achieve over the next year?" in a small-group context with other organizations. The day will be capped off by a synthesis of what participants have heard throughout the workshop, and suggestions for how the community might move forward from there.
