Rice Hotel

The architecture firm of Mauran, Russell & Crowell designed the Rice Hotel. The 17-story U-plan hotel opened in May 1913 and featured four restaurants, a banquet room. a small concert hall, and a rooftop deck for a cost of approximately $3.5 million.  Alfred C. Finn designed a new wing in 1925.
