Hispanic History in Texas Marker Map

Hispanic Texas: Journey from Empire to Democracy is a 2015 publication by the THC that showcases Texas’ foundational Hispanic heritage. Hispanic Texas serves as a guide to the built and intangible spaces that Hispanics have created throughout their years in Texas. The guide presents a refocusing of national and state honored Hispanic Texas history in Texas through a detailed mapping of National Historic Landmarks, National Register of Historic Places, Recorded Texas Historic Landmarks, Texas Historical Subject Markers, and Historic Texas Cemeteries.

The map below features the physical location of each Official Texas Historical Marker showcased in the guidebook, with more coming soon. Click on the location dots to learn more about these stories.
