The Historic Sites Division is responsible for overseeing the agency’s 30 historic properties located throughout the state. Staff members provide expertise in archeology, architecture, curation, interpretation, and marketing. The sites range from Native American ceremonial mounds to grand Victorian mansions to sprawling frontier forts. The THC's state historic sites exemplify the breadth of Texas history.
