The Texas Historical Commission (THC) respects your privacy. This policy addresses the collection and use of information that may be obtained by browsing THC websites.

All information collected or maintained by THC is subject to the provisions of the Texas Public Information Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 552. Information THC Collects


THC uses cookies to gather statistical information and to support web-based forms. The online Texas Historic Sites Atlas, which is a separate database, may also use cookies during some search requests to track user sessions and to provide an appropriate response. The information is discarded after every session.

Statistical Information

For site management functions, all site usage analytics are collected for analysis and statistical purposes. This information is not reported or used in any manner that would reveal personally identifiable information, and will not be released to any outside parties unless legally required to do so under applicable law.
