Join us on Saturday, February 17th as we showcase the event known as the Fredonian Rebellion!

In 1827, members of the Austin Colony militia arrived in Nacogdoches to put down a small rebellion started by other local Texians hoping to declare independence against the Mexican government. Join us as we recreate some of the necessary practices that would have been required in order to march to Fredonia including making pilot bread (hardtack), practicing militia musters, and firing our cannon!

Events run from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, February 17th. The story starts here, at San Felipe de Austin!
